Horizon House announced that instead of a large in-person event, EDI CON CHINA 2022 will occur as EDI CON ACROSS CHINA 2022. In 2021, the organizers of EDI CON CHINA decided to modify the program into EDI CON ACROSS CHINA to ensure timely delivery of technical conference material to engineers across the country during the challenges of the global pandemic. Today’s announcement about EDI CON ACROSS CHINA 2022 is a result of the success of that program and the continuing challenges and travel restrictions caused by the global pandemic. The 2022 event will include an online forum paired with four localized in-person conferences in China. EDI CON CHINA will return to its regular format, with a full in-person conference and exhibition, in Beijing in the spring of 2023 for its hallmark event.

The EDI CON ACROSS CHINA online conference will take place in April 2022 with two days of online sessions, workshops, and keynotes from international speakers covering topics on 5G design and test, semiconductor applications, machine-to-machine communication (MMTC), and IoT. Then, EDI CON ACROSS CHINA will launch a series of in-person localized conferences with stops in Beijing (May), Shanghai (July), Chengdu (October), and Shenzhen (December), with planned tracks on 5G, Wi-Fi, IoT, satellite, radar, and automotive. The four local in-person events in China will also include an exhibition with tabletop displays and demonstrations. The on-site exhibitions will provide tea/lunch breaks and give speakers the opportunity to meet with attendees.

“EDI CON CHINA traditionally occurs in Beijing in the spring, but we are delaying our return to a large in-person event until 2023 due to the ongoing pandemic. The EDI CON ACROSS CHINA format has proven to be very successful, and it allows us to continue to serve our loyal audience in 2022. We look forward to returning to our regular time frame and location in Beijing in the spring of 2023,” said Ivar Bazzy, President of Horizon House.

EDI CON ACROSS CHINA 2021 was the first two-day online conference held in China and had more than 800 attendees. Keynote talks were delivered by four world-class experts from leading companies. Event sponsors included Keysight Technologies, Rohde & Schwarz, Nano Dimension, Cadence, GBITEST, COMSOL, Syntronic, Mitron, and Transcom Instruments. The in-person Shanghai conference was attended by nearly 400 professionals from 200 companies, which exceeded the original estimate and resulted in a fully attended conference and exhibition.

More information regarding this renewed program and plans for 2023 will be released as available at https://www.ediconacrosschina.com/.
